Tyler Summersett is the Executive Director for Blue Zones Project® – Tuolumne County. He believes the communities of the Sierra Nevada are some of the most dynamic, interesting, unique, and well suited for living in and visiting of anywhere in the world. He is inspired to work on community-centric projects where tangible benefits are yielded.
Prior to joining the Blue Zones Project team, Tyler worked in the public sector for a regional transportation planning agency, managing a diverse set of projects that included active transportation (walking/bicycling) improvements and public transit, and as a project manager.
He believes in the principles of the Blue Zones Project: connecting with people, moving naturally, and eating conscientiously.
Tyler has a master’s degree in Public Administration, a wonderful family, a crew of friends, and resides in the family home built by his father.

ENGAGEMENT LEAD
Judy Stoltenberg

Judy Stoltenberg is the Marketing and Community Engagement Lead for Blue Zones Project® – Tuolumne County. She has lived in the Twain Harte community for over 30 years. Previously, she was a partner at a Sonora agency specializing in marketing and graphic design where she worked with businesses, nonprofits, and individuals helping with their print, digital, and other marketing needs. She was also events coordinator for the local regional theatre for many years.
Judy earned a bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts and Design from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, where she grew up. She is a long-time member of Soroptimist International of Twain Harte and has two sons, one husband, and one small, curly-haired dog.

PUBLIC POLICY ADVOCATE
Kristi Conforti

Kristi Conforti is the Public Policy Advocate for Blue Zones Project® – Tuolumne County. Her family moved to Tuolumne County when she was just 18 months old. She is a proud graduate of Twain Harte Elementary and Summerville High and she could not wait to leave Tuolumne County post-graduation. After seeking adventure and city living in five different states, Kristi realized how much she missed her roots, so she moved to Sonora in 2004.
Kristi earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from DePaul University in Chicago. She has an extensive background in sales and marketing but found purpose in her work over the last eight years managing programs and services dedicated to helping underserved and at-risk populations.
Kristi enjoys downshifting by gardening, cooking, reading, and walking with her teenage son and their rescue dog, Tank.

ORGANIZATION LEAD
Laura Sunday
Laura Sunday has a passion for life and building safer communities. She has over 40 years of experience in designing and delivering training. Laura has tutored special needs children and facilitated the Children’s Program at the Center For A Non Violent Community’s (CNVC) emergency shelter for children who have been exposed to violence and trauma. She served as the co-Executive Director of CNVC and coordinated Tuolumne County’s domestic violence, sexual assault, and bullying prevention programs, working with pre-school aged children to adults to uncover the roots of violence and shift social norms.
Laura’s focus has been on creating inclusive, violence-free schools and communities by fostering authentic youth engagement and leadership development through media tools, support, and training to youth, educators, and social service providers. She consults for the California Department of Public Health and the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence’s statewide strategic plan committees.
Laura is the CEO of Rizing Force Consulting…HOPE included, which provides community members and boards with tools to strategize for the future, interact in peaceful ways, resolving conflicts and investing in the next generation of leaders. She is passionate about people discovering their strengths and following their dreams, and promoting unity in the community.
Laura’s new role with Blue Zones Project® – Tuolumne County as their Organization Lead is a dream come true. She is excited to be part of a team that is focused on healthy living, well-being, and purpose.
For fun, she goes on adventures in nature with her husband Scott and golden retrievers, Kimba & Angus.
